9no Carnaval Musical del Pueblo de la Gran Banda, Guayanilla
Enjoy four days of entertainment at the Luis Muñoz Marín Public Plaza in Guayanilla. This event is focused on school, municipal, university, and drumline marching bands. In addition to thrilling band performances, there will be presentations by local artists, food kiosks, artisans, rides, and much more. Don’t miss the grand band parade on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Come and join us as we celebrate music, culture, and community at the 9th Musical Carnival of the Great Band, organized by the Guayanilla Band, Inc.
Tattoo Party
Come and enjoy a “Flash Tattoo” hangout filled with ink, music, and art on Sunday, May 19th from 11am to 5pm at the Puerto Rico Museum of Art. There will be 16 tattoo artists, and we’ll have the musical participation of Black Rythm @blackrhythmpr and DJ Sashha @djsashha as special guests. Additionally, there will be a talk titled: “It’s not just about tattooing,” reflections on the career of a dermograph artist and its challenges in the 21st century, by tattoo artist Luiyi Arte @luiyiarte. We’ll have stickers and pins for sale designed by Antonio Mabs @antoniomabs, a collection inspired by the pieces from “En la Barbería no se llora” by Pepón Osorio.
Admission is free of charge.
